Not sure why but I perpetually feel the need to chop off all my hair every two to three years. I get bored and coloring it is too expensive so away it goes. When I decide to get a hair cut I don’t call my hair dresser like a normal person would do and make an appointment because that would require me waiting two to three weeks, instead I call the closest place with the best yelp reviews and book the soonest appointment- yes this does sometimes end in butchered cuts that leave me looking like either a 12 year old or a 40 yr old mom but sometimes it turns out alright. One of the best parts about chopping off all your hair is that you can finally see all the pretty neck details that are typically covered up by my mop of hair and my collarbone exists once again.
When it comes to apple picking I will be the first to admit I’m only in it for the apple crisp that comes afterwards and the fall photo-ops. In fact I am allergic to apples and can’t have them until they’ve been cooked for about an hour but it gives me a great excuse to make some delicious apple centered desserts. This long sleeve T-Shirt dress is perfect for layering and super soft! Im wearing a size small and typically wear an xs but Abercrombie tends to run a bit short in their dresses.
This week was my very first week in the real world, good old adulthood!! I graduated from law school on Sunday and have enjoyed every second of free time since. I binge watched all 6 seasons of Girls, laid out in sun for the brief period of summer-ish weather we had there for a second (still very pale) and even carved out some time for the gym! A few months before graduation I decided rather than become a practicing attorney, I would commit full time to real estate in the city…sorry mom and dad! Going from working in a law firm with a strict 9 to 5 work schedule to having a flexible schedule is definitely a bit of a shock but I’m hoping to channel some of that new found free time into the blog! After a few week hiatus from the blog I had a chance to work with Erica Pezente this week and FINALLY shoot some new looks that I’m super excited to share with you!
I’ve teamed up with ULTA Beauty to show how I create all my favorite spring looks using EcoTools makeup brushes and sponges from ULTA! I’ve been using EcoTools for a few years now so I was super excited to help share how great they are with you! I’ve linked a few of my favorite below!!
If only my mother had saved half of her closet from the 90’s, my bank account would definitely be thanking her today! So many 90’s styles are back and being embraced by the fashion world and I can’t say I’m opposed! I do have good news for those of you tempted to snag a demin skirt, but don’t know if your fully committed to the trend just yet – this skirt is 50% off and makes indulging in the trend a little easier on your wallet!
Blush is the new black this season! Okay so it may not be the new black but it is definitely the hottest neutral for this upcoming spring! I love the delicate ruffled straps on this romper and the detailed tie back. You could definitely get away with wearing a regular bra if you are strongly against strapless bras in this jumper. If you have any spring weddings that you will be attending this could be a fun twist on traditional wedding wear. I paired it with my favorite Kendra Scott earrings and a blush pair of pumps! Im wearing a 2 for sizing reference, and I’ve linked it from two different locations incase your size is sold out at one!
Record breaking weather in the middle of February, someone needs to pinch me! We spent the day walking around the South End enjoying the weather and searching for some great food, which we most definitely found! We went to Brownstowne Boston on Dartmouth Street for brunch and my mouth is still watering! I had the pulled pork benny, which has officially turned me into a regular. They were the BEST about my allergies which is so refreshing, and the food was amazing!
If you can’t already tell I am mentally done with winter and have moved onto spring whether new england temps agree with me or not. There are so many trends this Spring that I can definitely get behind, one being the return of mules and loafers! They are so comfy and easy to throw on while adding the perfect finishing touch to any outfit. I have linked a few of my favorites that I have bought, have my eye on, and will be buying in the very near future! Ive also linked a few wedges and other footwear MUST haves for this upcoming spring and summer 🙂
