Pretty in Pink

Not sure why but I perpetually feel the need to chop off all my hair every two to three years. I get bored and coloring it is too expensive so away it goes. When I decide to get a hair cut I don’t call my hair dresser like a normal person would do and make an appointment because that would require me waiting two to three weeks, instead I call the closest place with the best yelp reviews and book the soonest appointment- yes this does sometimes end in butchered cuts that leave me looking like either a 12 year old or a 40 yr old mom but sometimes it turns out alright.    One of the best parts about chopping off all your hair is that you can finally see all the pretty neck details that are typically covered up by my mop of hair and my collarbone exists once again.

blush silk cami from J.Crew

silk cami

Every store I went in this weekend was stocked with just about every item of clothing in velvet. I was drawn to these pants because of the coloring, to be honest I can’t decide if they are holiday appropriate which it seems like every piece of velvet clothing is intended for but I also don’t know if I can get on the blush pink train for Christmas.   Either way I knew I needed to find something to wear them to whether it was a holiday party or fancy day at work. This silk top I fell absolutely in love with and comes in three colors. It goes great with jeans or a dressier pair of slacks. Im wearing a 00 in the pants but may have gone up to a 0 if they had a pair in store and a 0 in the top for size reference.
